A while back i made a chef knife for a Michelin star chef. Yesterday my wife and i had dinner at his restaurant.
I'll be honest, beforehand i was skeptical about how the food would relate to the price because this is a 200 per person kind of place.
Credit where it is due. This was literally the best I've eaten in my life.
First some potato soup. The soup was good but we left the snail alone. Not my thing.
The entree was eel on slow cooked pork belly. This was really good.
Then the main course. This was pure bliss with every bite. Fish on mashed potato with mousseline sauce, poached egg and caviar. And when i poked the egg there was thick dark yolk over everything. The flavor was so rich and full it was indescribable.
Desert was creme brulee and brandy.
