Please give me ideas. I need to practice wet shaving before applying for a job. Any suggestions about places, events, especial trainings. I live in Miami Fl. Thanks

Hello, welcome to the workshop. I think that as an up coming barber, you are going to be restricted to disposable edge razors, also know as shavettes. I think the feather brand is favoured by many. I think if you explore the market place and see what is available for preshave, brushes, soaps, aftershaves, it will give you a pretty good education into the shaving industry. Most people I know have no idea that there is more than simple aerosol soap available for shaving. I think if you go look at any of the large online suppliers, there is probably 30 brands of soap. Many of those companies are in EU and have been around for a very long time. There are also many small producers making shave products in small batches. Enjoy the research, there are tons of reviews out there when you go look for them.

Imo, the best way to learn shaving is shaving yourself.
You can learn quite a bit from Youtube videos. Since it concerns a job, you might want to focus on shavette type razors with replaceable blades.
