Looking for another option....

On OTHER sites i get a bulk email in the middle of the night showing all the new posts to my watched threads. Here im getting an email everytime someone posts so i get many emails all day lately.

Is this option avalable on this lessor fancy site? Or is it not an option as im not finding it.

I've been getting them too Jerry.
At the top of the thread on the right, there is an "Unwatch Thread" button. Hit that and you won't receive them anymore

I do like to get the bulk emails all at one time, but 8f this is not an option then ill just check every morning. Unwatch thread might be a good option. Thanks.

Yeah I just got one from this thread. I am starting to watch and see when I post in a thread to just go up to the top and hit that. I just view the new posts anyway.
So I'll see if it's been replied to

I just turn my email off until I have a few moments to go through everything. Lunch after supper with my morning coffee.

That doesn't seem to be possible with the standard forum software. There are additional add-ons available that make this possible but they are for pay.

Yes I found where it is possible with the standard forum software.

Go to your profile -> under settings-> Preferences
Then you'll see where you can uncheck the watch threads you start or reply to.
uncheck that and the email notifications under it will automatically uncheck.
Problem solved.............I'm more alert in the mornings so I could find it

Figured I'd post it for anyone who wanted to know.

Ok that didn't work............I'm thinking the only way to end the emails on replies would be to change your Alert Preferences.
But then you probably won't get them on the forum itself either.

Bruno is right on what I was looking for but if its not an option YET, that ok. We got to start somewhere.
After this forum talks off and is going like gang busters the next step is upgrade. Than the option might be available. Until then I'm still happy Bruno and Glen put this together and invited me into the fold and that most of my friends are here!

Yep, thats what I was looking for. I will just unsubscribe to the threads I dont want emails automaticly sent. Then just check-in and look at all new posts. This will work for now. Until we upgrade. Thanks all!

You could create a filter in your email to send them all to a folder, and that eould solve it too
