We recently have a newer business that has random E bikes around the city.
I know it is a holiday here but I tried to call to have them removed from the public sidewalk.
I tipped them over into the boulivard to get them out of the way.
Why someone should make a private profit using a public right of way irrtates me.
I don't have room to get by with my walker.

You see these in some of our bigger cities. Berlin for example is infested with them. These companies operate on city contracts so it's not like they are 100% private here. Things like e-steps are heavily promoted because they reduce congestion. The way it works is you use an app to locate one nearby which is available. You then ride it to where you need to be and leave it behind on the sidewalk or a charging point.
The general idea is that there is so much use and randomness that where person A leaves it, there is usually a person B who needs one. They are GPS tracked so in the evenings, people collect ones that have been idle / uncharged for too long to bring them to charging points.
I'll always open my door for Chinese food.
When I grew up we got our Chinese food from the next village, in the Netherlands. It is just better than chinese food in Belgium in many cases. Especially if you want peanutbutter sauce. So far i've not found a belgian restaurant where the peanut butter sauce is good.

I have custom fit ear plugs and bone conducting headphones. It is a great combo. Amazing on the airplane and in airports too. You just have to keep an eye on the monitor at your gate because you won’t hear any announcements. It is by far the best sound I’ve ever gotten from headphones, even better than over ear noise cancelling.
Yesterday me and my brother spent a long afternoon building a supporting construction underneath my stairs so that we could remove the bottom supports.
We've ordered a new staircase but the old one was sunk into the floorvfor some farcackte reason and i want to fit in the missing tiles before they install the new one.

I can see why the tile wasn't replaced earlier. It seems to sit on the old tile fine.
It seems like your staircase is steep and has a narrow tread depth. That has been more noticible the older I get.
My basement stairs has the lowest step 1 or 2 inches higher than the rest of them. I have not noticed that over the years until recently.
As an aside I officilly retired from work today. I actually have given notice before but today I went in and turned in my keys and "cleaned" out my locker etc. I say cleaned with a smile because I left a mess but got out what I wanted. Let the "new" guy clean it out. They have already been argueing about my tools. The company owns them so they are not mine to take!
It is intersting and will take much more paper work but I wish I would be able to retire on my own terms.
