Today I moved the connection boxes from the crawling space to a new backpanel in the basement.
Pulled new cables. Connected extra power sockets.

So, several days of free time, some PTO, about 300 USD, and a lot of muscle ache later ... I now still have internet just like before.
Projects like these are the worst because after all that, you're right back where you were to begin with.
Tomorrow the cable guy comes to hook up the new line.

No. Basic 75 ohm coax.
Plenty fast enough for us. If they're going to roll out fiber we can pull the new cable through without problem.

We get 150 Mbits/s. Frankly we have the lowest subscription and if we overrun our data we get reduced speed the rest of the month but even that is fast enough that we don't notice

One i found on the street at work

113 this is no mistake. It's exactly the same as 112. Possibly the same previous owner. That seems logical. I found them on opposite sides of the crossroads, close together but on different days.

I'll not be forging for a couple of weeks. That sprained finger started to hurt more, the past week, not less. I probably didn't rest enough. Yesterday I took more care and today it's less painful than yesterday so I think I really need to give it some real time off.
Or maybe I can use this to start forging left handed. :D

Take the time it needs to heal properly.

If I tried working left handed I would likely break the sprained finger on my right hand 3ith a wild hammer strike. :D

Today it's finally noticeably less stiff or painful. I'm going to take that advice and just give it until it's healed properly. I'm getting to the age where failing to do so can make problems chronic.

Do people know that they can be used more than once before you throught them out?
:D

I found my 20th this year last Friday.
It's wild. As you say it's almost like people are throwing them away.
The 4 ones in that picture, I found them on the same 4 mile run. And to make it even stranger, I found the first 2 lying a couple feet apart, and the second 2 a couple of yards.

Finding 4 on 1 short run is already stretching it, but how do they end up nearly side by side?
