Something Belgian.
There are no subtitles and it's in Dutch.
It's a punkrock number about the anger and baiting on social media.

These are the translated lyrics

I may not be the smartest boy
But I'm not naïve
They look at us all the time
I'm not naïve
They know the numbers from social computers
I'm not naïve
And I don't believe in nonsense
I'm not naïve
I may not be the smartest boy
But I'm not naïve
They look at us all the time
I'm not naïve
They know the numbers from social computers
I'm not naïve
And I don't believe in nonsense
I'm not naïve
Fight with me
Fight with me
Fight with me
I'm not naïve
They sleep here on your ambitions
I'm not naïve
They follow you from your car to your door
I'm not naïve
And I don't believe it's me
I'm not naïve
And tomorrow morning, I'll not get up
I'm not naïve
Fight with me
Fight with me
Fight with me
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve
I'm not naïve

The earthquake in Turkey / Syria is quite something. In Turkey, I read that over 1500 buildings just collapsed.

It's just horrible - as if Syria hadn't had enough problems already. It's a disaster for Turkey too of course, but at least they are in a better position to respond.

Yeah there is a lot of criticism for not helping Syria but the affected area is in hands of the rebels who want to keep out governmental forces. Plus it also has a lot of terrorists so Turkey cannot just open the border either.

The numbers of dead are pretty high.
im not sure how accurate this is, so take it with a grain of salt. Rebel forces had destroyed most of the roads between Syria and Turkey, and the few remaining roads got destroyed in the quake, Rebel forces have not been kind to people coming in to help in the past, so it is a little complicated.

I see numbers of over 1/2 miillion deaths in the war in Syria.

So even with the big numbers the quake doesn't come close .

True. Though what may be even worse than the death toll from an overall pov is that a lot of national infrastructure is completely demolished and rebuilding is not an option.

Uddeholm delivered 20 kilos of steel today. But they left it leaning to the back door which we don't use in the evening.
So when we opened it from the inside, the steel fell in. Thankfully it didn't hit my daughter but there are now 2 scratches on the door.
It's a PVC door so I'm hoping that we can fix this easily enough. My brother in law works for the firm who installed it so he told me to send him pics tomorrow in daylight.

I already sent a mail to inform them of what happened and to ask them to NOT do this anymore because if it had hit my daughter, things could have ended badly. 20 kilos of steel is enough to break a foot or shin.

That was a dangerous move on the part of the delivery person. Unless someone open that door from the outside something was not going to go poorly. Odds of bad things happening from that are very high.

I knew an older lady that died after when she opened the freezer door a pound of hamburger dropped on her foot.

She had other issues such as diabetes but the hamburger triggered things.

Haven't heard back from them. I would have expected at least a reply but nothing yet.
Anyway Jenes Sandor posted his first razor made with my steel and both he and the customer were happy so that's a good thing. I mentioned to TC that maybe he could organize a reunion for the TX meet regulars :) when there's life, there is hope :D

Something else: this is a golden oldie from when you guys were young :p
It's one of my favorite songs and when I'm home alone I sing along at the top of my voice

I have never heard that song before but I can understand why it is one of your favorites.

I am glad to hear that you are in touch with TC. I haven't seen anything of him lately.

Show me that again!
Yep. No TC to be heard from.
I too never heard of that song but with the hair, I'm guessing the 70s. I was getting into music hard at that time in my life. My friends were out playing sports but I had headphones on and was learning music.

Tim this resonated with something you mentioned earlier.
it's a 2 sided coin. Doing my hobby as a side business allows me to pay for it, have materials and make the occasional trip. Something that would otherwise be impossible.
At the same time it creates the obligation to make sure i raise enough every year to pay for the write offs, my accountant, the website...4

I admit my current sword projects are more 'fun' than much of what I've been doing (except wootz) for a long time.
