Sabre in progress

Something I started on because my youngest kept telling me I should make a sword.
It's a sabre. Forging was a bit of a challenge because I forged it tapered and beveled. So far it's looking fairly good.
Weight is down to 350 grams and length is 66 cm, end to end.

It looks like a skill challenging project. I also expect it to be fairly over the top nice when it’s done.

And then the forge was hot and i thought 'you know, a rapier would be nice'...
It was a much bigger challenge than the sabre. Not so much the forging, but straightening something very thin and slender without any square surfaces and the structural integrity of wet noodle.
Still i think i pulled it off well enough to make something out of it. It is pointy and has 4 forged bevels.
