The 'This is me' thread

I managed to upload my pic to my avitar, but have no clue how to upload a pic from my phone...so you can see that I struggle to keep up with technology.

I am a locomotive engineer by day and hobbyist bladesmith by night. I have truly enjoyed "learning" new premium tequilas and whiskeys ever since my gastric sleeve surgery August 23, 2016.

I have no children of my own, however have 2 grown step daughter's and have 5 grandkids. My pride and joy id my German Shepherds.
If you press the upload button it will bring up a list of options, go to documents, it will bring up another list that you can choose to retrieve the pic from. Like gallery, photos, downloads, ect. Touch the pic, and then full screen when it comes back to the thread, then post your reply....I think.

Two years ago, I made a massive career change and decided to try teaching high school business on for size. Here I am in class with a group of my victims... uh students. It's remarkably challenging, I love the kids, but I'm not sure. I might try on teaching college students or you know, not teaching at all lol. Either way, it affords me a pretty nice lifestyle for now as my wife is a prof, so we both get summers off to tend to our two monkeys who are 7 and 8 years old.

Look at that clean shaven face!

I probably took that to far but 65 feet is 19.812 meters. 20 meter band is 14-MHz.................

Hey, careful, man, there's a beverage here!
Heights definitely spike my adrenaline levels. I had the opportunity to look off of the edge of the John Hancock building in the mid-90s and step inside one of its iconic antenna masts thanks to the RF site manager who we had hired. 1,000,000 Watts @ 1,000 feet. (AM though sadly) ;)

Good luck getting an opportunity like that these days. <sigh>

Grown kids and divorced... sounds like heaven!! Don't get me wrong, I'm happily married and love my brats, but oh what I would give to get myself back lol!! I think if I were in your shoes, I'd have "downsized" right into an about 30 footer, and would be doing the Great Loop ever so slowly... just cuz.

I know, I know - grass is greener on the other side :) - Good to see you.

Show me that again!
Afraid to show your ageing face Geezer? Ha.

And your right on the measurements just high of 14Mhz. But close enough. LOL.
My limit in climbing towers is 100ft before I get a little uneasy. Here is a pic of the antenna I have up now. And me smiling back down at you. LOL.
