If I recall correctly this was taken at graduation from college, the day of the ceremony. Ready to go out into the world start adult life.

Ha! No, we were actually doing some volunteer work through our church in Virginia. Had the opportunity to work with some conservative "horse and buggy" Mennonites. The other guys in the unit and I took the opportunity to "fit in" a little better with our new friends. I normally don't wear suspenders. I'll take it as a compliment though!
