The old Welcome thread was outdated, and rather than edit it and remove the history, I decided to write a new welcome message.
The primary goal for this site is to be a place where people who are interesting in restoring and making shaving gear. We've been around for 2 years now, and we're still alive so that counts as a win.
Since we started, several things have changed, and because of that we've included a section about general shaving discussion, and a place to buy and sell shaving gear. Wet shaving itself is not a primary goal, but we've dedicated a space for it where our members can talk about it.
One of the things that are certainly true is that after 2 years, we have a small group of members here from various other places, and we are starting to develop our own identity as a website.
A big thank you to the existing members, and a heartfelt welcome to new members!
